What is Beanstack?

Beanstack is a web application, and it is mobile optimized which means it is very easy to use on your phone, tablet or PC. ICL understands that we are facing the most important summer for Online Summer Reading in history.  Beanstack will keep everyone interested in a creative rewarding way with reading challenges, fun activities, a simple way to track minutes and an engaging badge and ticket system to entice readers to keep reading all summer.

How do I get started?

1. It is so easy! Click on the ICL flame to begin your Summer Reading (SR) experience using your PC or go mobile and download the Beanstack Tracker App for iPhone and Android users. You can track your reading on multiple devices throughout the SR Challenge.

2.  Once you arrive at the ICL Beanstack site or have downloaded the app, click on the button that fits your needs: Register an individual, family, class or group.

3.  Fill in the information. If you are a parent registering a child, be sure to enter your information under "Adult Information." You will be the Account Creator. If you would like to sign up for a reading challenge you will also have to be signed in as a Reader. Beanstack allows families to be linked together, so that all family members can be accessed with one login. If you prefer to not be linked, choose I am registering myself.

4.  Once registered, you will be taken to your account page. This is where you will log your minutes, activites and track the badges and tickets you earn!

Who can win raffles and prizes?

1. Weekly raffles will begin on June 15 and will continue every Monday until August 3. Anyone signed up for the SR Challenge, in all age groups, is eligible to win the weekly raffle.  When you sign up for the SR Challenge your name is automatically entered into the raffle pool--there is nothing else you have to do! The more you progress through the challenge by logging reading and completing activites, the better chance you have to win a raffle prize. During this difficult time, ICL is supporting the local businesses that have supported the libary in the past by purchasing gift cards to Alibi Bar & Grill, Mooville, Lamplight Grill, Cook & Co. Creamery & Confections, Olivera's, Pizza Hut and Meijer.

2. Ionia Community Library Card Holders living in the library district with accounts in good standing are eligible to win prizes. Prizes will be drawn on Monday, August 10.
